Greetings Emile Cubs!
It is an honor to be the instructional leader for the students and staff at Emile Elementary school! It is clear that the Bastrop ISD team is highly focused on serving students, enriching their learning opportunities and providing differentiated instruction for all. I am excited and eager to meet with new parents with students joining the Emile Elementary school family! We want you to know that the staff at Emile works diligently to provide engaging and rigorous instruction in every classroom, with every student, every day!
In public education, I have been a teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, instructional administrator, assessment & accountability coordinator, and superintendent. I have a Ph.D. in Education from Texas A&M University, along with a Master of Education, and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I have worked in several Texas school districts including Bryan ISD, Katy ISD, Austin ISD, Del Valle ISD, and Moulton ISD, as well as educating teachers at Texas A&M University and Concordia University. I have worked with elementary, middle school, high school, undergraduate and graduate level students.
I believe that every Emile student should have the opportunity to become a critical thinker and effective problem solver who is confident, self-motivated, and actively involved in our community. It is my goal as principal to ensure that all Emile Elementary students are fully supported so that they become academically successful and socially prepared to reach high standards and make smart choices for their future pathways.
I am committed to ensuring that the spirit and pride of Emile Elementary shines brightly though the success of every Emile student! At Emile Elementary we are Student Centered and Future Focused!
